Marco Fabbri

Bandoneonist, accordeonist, composer and arranger, he was born in Bologna in 1963. Deeply involved in studying and performing Astor Piazzolla's music, he is also an appreciate composer. Winner of "Città di Castelfidardo" International contest in 1994, with special mention by Jury president Franck Marocco; second place in 1997 as leader of "Latinorum" group, playing his own compositions.The same year he tooks part to the "A.Piazzolla contest", where his composition "Fugeria" was selected for a tribute CD. In 1997 he plays bandoneon at RAI, the italian national television, in the show "TANGO" accompanying Milva and Julio Iglesias. Currently works in Quejas de bandoneon tango sextet, as bandoneonist and arranger: the group made countless concerts in Italy and abroad and partecipated to many festivals. He is also member of trio Lumiere (Tango) and Nautilus quartet (Music and texts live act). He is busy working as arranger of Piazzolla's music for: Luca Fanfoni (violin) and monica Fini (piano) duo, "Cuatro estaciones portenas" forthcoming CD release; flute soloist Giorgio Zagnoni; "A.Toscanini" symphonic orchestra conducted by Vladimir Mendelssohn.Often he plays as bandoneon soloist.
