Sometimes, one of our friends comes and plays with us.




Anselmo Pelliccioni was born in Repubblica di San Marino. He studied Cello with the American cellist Marianne Chen, and after having graduated from Conservatorium he deepened his musical knowledge at Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.
During his career he worked together with many important Italian orchestras (Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Arena di Verona, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala, Orchestra Sinfonica della RAI di Torino, Orchestra Regionale della Toscana, Orchestra Arturo Toscanini di Parma, etc), at the same time playing with small chamber groups, both in classical areas and in ones of artistic "cross-fertilisation".

Great enthusiast of jazz music, he also studied Jazz Double Bass with the well-known Italian bassist Paolo Ghetti. Anselmo Pelliccioni is cello professor at Istituto Musicale Sammarinese.

Luca has played with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra conducted by Claudio Abbado, and since 2004 has been playing with theFilarmonica Arturo Toscanini in numerous concerts in Italy and around the world, with many conductors as Zubin Metha, Georges Pretre, Lorin Maazel, Mstislav Rostropovich, Charles Dutoit, Dimitrij Kitajenco, Jeffrey Tate, Eliahu Inbal, Rafael Fruhbeck de Burgos, Michel Plasson, Kurt Masur,Juri Temirkanov; Maxim Vengerov, Placido Domingo. Since 2006 is a member of the Orchestra Symphonica Toscanini under Lorin Maazel’s baton; and collaborates with the Orchestra Nazionale della Rai.

Between 2009/2010 He recorded the Opera instrumental full of Padre Martini with Accademia degli Astrusi, and “Live” Stabat Mater of Pergolesi with Sara Mingardo for Rai Radio 3. In October 2010 has played in the Konzerthaus in Berlin and Palazzo Quirinale in Rome in live radio with Accademia degli Astrusi. He has worked with Orchestra Barocca Harmonicus Concentus for the record of “Vespro della Beata Vergine”of Pergolesi for Amadeus Label.
